The owner, Chris Wyand arrived promptly at the scheduled time and provided a thorough explanation of the quote. On the scheduled work day, two technicians, Chris and Rigo arrived at the scheduled time. They entered the front door and immediately removed their shoes at the front door before entering so as to not track dirt. Except for a brief break, they worked hard from start to finish, approximately 5.5 hours. The lead technician, Chris (not the owner) made sure we were informed of their progress from start to finish and that we were happy with the end results. They took great care in cleaning up after themselves before they left. The Sir Grout technicians were professional and a pleasure to work with and the results were amazing! All the mold was gone. It looked like a brand new shower! We couldn't be happier. We would definitely recommend Sir Grout without hesitation!

The floor and tub surround came out really really nice. It's just what I wanted to have happen. The old stuff was so grimy and dull, but after you were done it is nice and shiny: you can actually tell what things are on the windowsill from the reflection in the floor.

I really appreciate your coming all the way out here. I know it was inconvenient for you all, but I am just so pleased with the results.

I had tried caulking my bathtub several times, and I even hired a plumber to do the job. Neither the plumber nor I could get the caulk to stick, and after a month or two of a fairly useless bathtub, I was getting desperate for a solution. Sir Grout came in and suggested that maybe the caulk wasn't sticking because water was getting in through the grout. So, they fixed the grout and the caulk. They were prompt and professional, squeezing me into their schedule without much notice, which I greatly appreciated after trying to fix the problem myself for so long. It's over a month later now and the caulk hasn't come loose and still looks great. Thanks!

I had a great experience with Sir Grout also. We recently moved into a home with original 1950's tile in the bathrooms, and the grout was grungy to say the least. Chris the owner came out for an estimate, and gave me very realistic expectations for what could and could not be fixed. The two technicians that came on the day of service were very polite and hard-working, and when I pointed out a few spots that needed more work, they were more than happy to oblige.
We're not planning to keep this tile for forever, but for a couple thousand bucks, the work they did has made a huge difference in our happiness at home for the next several years. I also really appreciated the follow-up email that Chris sent afterwards to be sure that we were pleased with the work. It has been a long time since I've experienced such professional customer service.

Chris very honestly told my husband that because of the method used to seal our tile and grout there was nothing he could do. He did give us the name and contact information of colleague who he thought might have more information on our problem. My husband was very impressed with Chris's professionalism and follow up email. After reading Angie's List reviews of Sir Grout and calling for an appointment, Chris (owner) came to our home to review the work we wanted done. He immediately followed up with very specific estimates for each room and each procedure in a proposed scope of services. He was very direct about the outcomes he believed he could provide, not trying to sell us something that he couldn't do well. For the "worst" of my bathroom floors he told me that he couldn't really change the appearance of the tile because it wouldn't hold a new application of grout for any length of time, but did indicate that he could definitely clean it up and re-grout in some limited places where the grout would adhere. In fact, that's what happened and it looks a whole lot better. For the other two bathrooms he said he could re-grout that particular tile, along with cleaning it up. For the kitchen - more recent tiles - he said there would be no problem to clean and re-grout. On the day of the scheduled service, his two technicians arrived promptly. They were courteous, professional and hard-working. With the exception of a brief lunch break, they never stopped working. When they started the re-grout on the first of the two bathroom floors that Chris believed could hold the grout, they told me that in fact this wouldn't work because of the nature of the tile. They called Chris ,who was not on site, to request that he come to our house and discuss their observation and make a final determination. Chris came and confirmed they were correct. They said they could still clean and seal the floors and it would make some difference, just not as dramatic as I had hoped. I appreciated their honesty and I agreed that I wanted to go ahead and do the more limited work. They adjusted the price from the original estimate to my satisfaction. Having such a specific contract with prices for each task to be completed made it easy for me to understand how they determined the price reduction. Because of the age and condition of the bathroom tiles, the kitchen floor turned out to be the only room that Sir Grout was able to do everything I wanted - and it came out great. The quality of work performed and the work ethic of Chris and his employees was impressive. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to others.
